Katy Trail and Rock Island Trail Trip Planning Services
Take advantage of our local trail knowledge, and let us plan your trip for you on the Katy Trail or the Rock Island Trail! Use our Inquiry form on our Contact page to let us know you are interested in Trip Planning. Our Trip Planning Services take away the worry and stress of planning your trip. For $250 you will receive the following Trip Planning services:
- Itinerary – We work with you to build a custom trip itinerary based on your riding ability, lodging preferences, and areas of interest (local coffee shops, Lewis & Clark history, wineries, etc.). Rest days can be built into the trip.
- Access to our Personalized Trail Guides that provide a description of each day’s ride, daily mileage chart, services available in the towns you will pass through, and points of interest at different mile markers. This is much easier information to access during your trip than a fold-out map or guidebook.
- Restaurant Recommendations – Updated continually throughout the year based on our own experience and feedback from other riders.
- Lodging recommendations. We provide the address, phone numbers, contact person, and breakfast availability at our preferred places of lodging. We stay away from chain hotels whenever possible and give you recommendations for bed & breakfast, historic hotels, and boutique style lodging that is close to the trail. Spur trails and highways with good shoulders take you into some towns along the Katy Trail. But if lodging adjacent to the Katy Trail is preferred, we will build that into the itinerary. We do not make reservations for you, but provide all the necessary information to you.
- Trip Assistance Services. We know all the shuttle services and bike shops along the Katy Trail. Should you need assistance, you can call us anytime during your trip and we will help you find service. Emergency pick up can be arranged, and we will find you the least expensive option to get you to your lodging or a bike shop.
- Logistics help. Figuring out your trip logistics is often times the most difficult task for those unfamiliar with the Katy Trail. We will talk you through your options such as: which airports to use, where to use a shuttle vs. Uber, how Amtrak may be utilized, which parts of the trail to ride if you have limited days to ride the trail, and discuss with you the pros and cons to riding West to East or East to West.
Let us worry about the details so you can focus on the enjoyment of riding the Katy Trail.
