Katy Trail Tours & Shuttle Self-Guided Ride Services and Pricing 2026
Self-Guided Ride: Provides lodging, shuttle, breakfast, and my trip assistance services. Trip assistance includes restaurant recommendations, my personal trail guides providing information on your daily rides detailing the description of each day’s rides, mileage chart, services available, and points of interest at different mileage markers. I also send out a daily note to the rider group providing way-finding tips and important information on the day’s ride. You will receive a complimentary copy of the 11th Edition of the Katy Trail Guide Book by Brett Dufer (one per each household that signs up). If you run into issues on the trail, such as needing a shuttle or bike repair service, I find you the quickest and most affordable resources to assist you – see Support During the Ride at the bottom of this document for further information. The trip is typically 5 nights lodging and 6 days of riding, but the trip can be adjusted to extend or shorten the trip. Pricing for extra night lodging is at my cost.

The trip deposit of $200 per person is due upfront to book the trip. The deposit is fully refundable if cancellation is done prior to 90 days before the start of the trip. The deposit is not refundable if less than 90 days of notice. Additional cancellation fees may be applied by places of lodging for late cancellation, generally speaking less than a month’s notice, but the exact amount of notice varies with each place of lodging. Payment of the balance due after deposit is due 10 days before the start of the ride. I do not take credit cards, so payment of deposit can be made by check, Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Pay. Once the deposit payment is made, I start sending out trip information, such as lodging, breakfast, restaurant recommendations, Katy Trail guidebooks, & my trail guides. Let me know if you plan to pay the deposit by Venmo and I will send you my Venmo payment information. I will provide guidance on how to pay by Zelle or Apple Pay. If paying by check, send it to the address listed at the end of this email.
About Myself: I have lived in Missouri over the last 23 years and have been an active bike rider on the Katy Trail. In 2022 I started my guide service business to help people on the Katy Trail. Unlike national firms that set up rides all over the nation, I focus only on the Katy Trail using my local knowledge and experience to help riders get the most out of their bike trips here in Missouri. Check out my Google reviews on my website at Katytrailbiketours.com above the blue Facebook link on my homepage.
Support during the Ride: My service does not include daily sag wagon services (pick up if you cannot finish the ride) or bike repair. This is a self-guided ride, not a fully supported ride, so riders are expected to be able to complete the day’s ride, change their own flat tires, and do basic bike adjustments. If I am hauling luggage for the group, I will provide free shuttle service for anyone who wants to opt out of the daily ride. The shuttle service from one place of lodging to the next is provided on an as needed, and as available basis, and must be scheduled the night before the ride. Emergency shuttle pickup on the trail during your ride will be arranged if needed, but will likely involve an additional charge depending on the length and difficulty of the pickup. I know all the shuttle drivers on the trail and will find you the least expensive option for an emergency pickup.
